Are all Kemiskhan soaps genuinely handmade?
Yes — every bar is made entirely by hand in Dubai, UAE, in small batches. We use the traditional hot process cooked method, the same artisan technique that has produced nourishing handmade soap for centuries. Nothing is mass-produced or outsourced.
What oils are used in your soaps?
Our soaps are crafted with 5 to 9 high-quality natural oils and butters, depending on the formula. The base of most bars includes olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter, and castor oil. Specialty soaps also include ingredients like black seed oil, jojoba oil, camel milk, goat milk, almond milk, Moroccan green clay, acacia honey, and essential oils. Every ingredient is chosen for a specific skin benefit — nothing is added without purpose.
Are your soaps suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. Our soaps are made with natural oils and contain no harsh detergents, synthetic preservatives, or artificial additives. Most of our formulas are designed to be gentle, nourishing, and kind to sensitive skin. We recommend doing a patch test on your inner arm before first use on the face, especially for our stronger bars like Birch Tar Soap.
Do your soaps contain animal fats or alcohol?
No. All our soaps and candles are made from plant-based oils, butters, and natural waxes. We never use animal fats or alcohol in our formulas.
Does lye (sodium hydroxide) remain in the finished soap?
No. While sodium hydroxide is used in the soap-making process, it fully reacts with the oils during saponification and no lye remains in the finished bar. This is how all real soap is made — the lye is a catalyst, not an ingredient in the final product.
Are your soaps vegan?
Most of our soaps are plant-based and vegan. However, some bars contain animal-derived ingredients such as camel milk, goat milk, almond milk, or acacia honey. These are clearly listed in each product description. If you need a fully vegan option, our Herbal and Clay soap collections are a great place to start.
How long does a bar of soap last?
With proper care, a bar typically lasts 3–5 weeks with daily use. To extend bar life, always store your soap on a well-draining soap dish between uses and keep it away from standing water. Our soaps do not contain synthetic hardeners, so keeping them dry is important.
Which soap is best for acne-prone skin?
We recommend our Black Seed Soap for its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, our Moroccan Green Clay & Siberian Pine Soap for deep pore cleansing, or our Birch Tar Soap for stubborn, persistent problem skin.
Which soap is best for dry or sensitive skin?
Our Camel Milk Soap, Aloe Vera Soap, and Lavender Calm Soap are among our most gentle and nourishing options for dry and sensitive skin. Our simple Olive Soap with just 3 ingredients is also an excellent choice for reactive or allergy-prone skin.
Which soap is best as a gift?
For gifting, we recommend our Rose Premium Soap (Dhs. 52), Peony Pink Clay Soap (Dhs. 58), or any of our Eid & Ramadan gift collections. All premium soaps come beautifully packaged with a gift box and gold ribbon — ready to give exactly as they arrive.

Which areas do you deliver to?
We deliver across the United Arab Emirates — Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and all other Emirates. For international delivery inquiries, please contact us on WhatsApp.
How long does delivery take?
Standard delivery within the UAE takes 2–3 working days after order confirmation. Express delivery is available for an additional charge depending on your location and courier schedule. For full details, see our Shipping & Delivery Policy.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept secure online payments through trusted payment gateways approved by Shopify and UAE banks, including major credit and debit cards and Apple Pay. For bulk or wholesale orders, additional payment methods can be arranged via WhatsApp.
Do you offer cash on delivery (COD)?
COD is not currently available but is planned for summer 2026 within the UAE. We will announce this update on our social media channels.
Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
If your order has not yet been shipped, you can contact us immediately on WhatsApp to request changes or cancellation. Once an order has been shipped, changes are no longer possible.
Do you offer gift wrapping or message cards?
Yes! We can include elegant gift wrapping, personalized ribbons, and handwritten message cards upon request. Please add your message request in the order notes or contact us on WhatsApp before placing your order.
What is your return and refund policy?

Can I order custom soaps with my own fragrance, shape, or branding?
Yes. We are flexible in both formula and design — you can choose your preferred fragrance, colour theme, shape, and size. We also create custom labels and packaging for private label and business orders. Contact us on WhatsApp to discuss your requirements.
Do you offer corporate and event gifts?
Yes. We specialise in unique handmade corporate gifts, event souvenirs, and custom hampers with personalised packaging. Whether it's a company giveaway, an Eid corporate gift, or a wedding favour — we can create something truly memorable. Contact us on WhatsApp for a quotation.
Can I resell Kemiskhan products with my own logo?
Yes. Reselling is permitted for approved wholesale and bulk orders with a minimum quantity. We can create custom labels and packaging under your brand. Please contact us on WhatsApp for details and pricing.
Do you offer bulk and wholesale discounts?
Yes. Special pricing is available for orders starting from 20, 50, or 100 pieces and above. Prices are negotiable depending on quantity and product selection. Please reach out on WhatsApp for a custom quotation.
Can you prepare complete gift sets — soap, candle, and card together?
Yes! You can mix and match items to create your own personalised gift set. We can also suggest curated combinations for Eid, Ramadan, Mother's Day, birthdays, and corporate occasions. Contact us on WhatsApp and we'll help you build the perfect set.
Can I request custom magnets, postcards, or labels only?
Yes. We design and produce custom magnets, postcards, and labels with your message, logo, or event theme — with or without accompanying products.
🌿 Ingredients & Skincare
Are your ingredients natural and safe?
Yes. We use only high-quality natural ingredients — plant-based oils, botanical extracts, mineral clays, essential oils, and natural milk. We do not use synthetic preservatives, harsh detergents, parabens, or artificial colours. Every ingredient is listed in our product descriptions.
Why does handmade soap feel different from commercial soap?
Commercial soap is often made using a process that strips out the natural glycerin — a humectant that attracts moisture to the skin. Handmade cold or hot process soap retains all of this natural glycerin, which is why it feels noticeably softer, more moisturising, and less drying than mass-produced bars.
What is the hot process (cooked) method?
The hot process method is a traditional artisan soap-making technique where the soap is cooked at low heat after mixing, which speeds up saponification and produces a rustic, fully cured bar. It is one of the oldest and most respected methods of soap-making, and it is what we use at Kemiskhan Atelier for most of our herbal and heritage bars.
Is camel milk soap good for skin?
Yes — camel milk is one of the most nourishing natural skincare ingredients available. It is naturally rich in vitamins A, B, C, and D, alpha-hydroxy acids that gently exfoliate and brighten, and lactoferrin which calms redness and supports skin balance. Is black seed oil good for acne?
Yes. Black seed oil (Nigella Sativa) contains thymoquinone, a compound with powerful anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties that help fight acne-causing bacteria, reduce redness, and support skin repair. It is one of the most trusted natural ingredients for sensitive, acne-prone, and eczema-prone skin. Shop our Black Seed Soap here.
Can I use your soaps on my face?
Yes. All our soaps are suitable for face and body use. For facial use, we recommend our gentler bars such as the Aloe Vera Soap, Lavender Calm Soap, or Olive Soap. Always follow with a moisturiser after cleansing.
Can children use your soaps?
Our gentler bars — particularly the Olive Soap and Aloe Vera Soap — are made with very simple, natural ingredients and may be suitable for children. However, we recommend consulting a paediatrician before using any new skincare product on young children, and always do a patch test first.

How quickly do you respond to messages?
We aim to respond to all WhatsApp and contact form messages within a few hours during operating hours. For urgent matters such as order changes, please contact us on WhatsApp as early as possible.
Where are you located?
Kemiskhan Atelier is based in Dubai, UAE. We are an online store with no physical retail location — all orders are placed online and delivered directly to your door across the UAE.
Do you have a physical store I can visit?
We are currently online only. However, for large corporate or wholesale orders, we can arrange a viewing of products. Please contact us on WhatsApp to discuss.
