Teberda handmade soap with cedarwood, acacia honey and basil — Kemiskhan Atelier, crafted in Dubai

Teberda — Cedarwood, Honey & Acacia Soap Inspired by a Grandmother's Homeland

Some places live in your blood even if you were never born there.

The Story Behind the Name

Teberda. A small mountain town in the Caucasus, surrounded by ancient forests, rushing rivers, and the sweet scent of acacia blossoms drifting through clean mountain air.

I was never born there. But it is the homeland of my grandmother Kemiskhan — the woman whose name lives on in every bar of soap I make at Kemiskhan Atelier.

Somehow, without ever standing in those mountains, I can sense them. The freshness of the air. The resin of cedarwood. The warmth of wild honey. The green sharpness of basil growing in the sun. These are not just ingredients — they are a memory that was passed to me without words, through blood and love and the stories of a woman I carry with me always.

This soap is my tribute to her. To Teberda. To the homeland I feel but have never touched.

The Ingredients — Each One a Piece of That Mountain

🌲 Cedarwood Powder

The forests around Teberda are ancient and deep, filled with the scent of cedar resin. Cedarwood powder brings that same grounding, woody warmth to this soap.

  • Cedarwood powder adds botanical character and texture.
  • Woody notes form part of the forest-inspired scent story.

🌼 Acacia Honey

Acacia trees bloom across the Caucasus mountains in spring, filling the air with their delicate floral sweetness. Acacia honey is one of the purest, lightest honeys in the world — and one of the most nourishing for skin.

  • Acacia honey is a distinctive ingredient in this recipe.
  • The complete blend shapes the finished lather and feel.

🌿 Dry Basil & Basil Oil

Basil grows abundantly across the Caucasus — in gardens, on windowsills, in the wild. Its sharp, green, slightly spicy scent is the smell of summer in those mountains. I soak dry basil in basil oil to extract every drop of its goodness before adding it to this soap.

  • Dry basil and basil oil bring herbal character to the bar.
  • Check botanical and fragrance ingredients if your skin is sensitive.

The Complete Benefits of Teberda Soap

  • A cleansing bar with a woody, herbal ingredient story.
  • Small-batch hot-process craft made in Dubai.
  • A personal gift inspired by the Caucasus mountains.

Who Is This Soap For?

  • Those who enjoy artisan soap and the scents of forests and herbs.
  • Anyone seeking a useful gift with a personal story.
  • Choose according to the full ingredients and your own skin tolerance.

A Note From the Maker

Every time I make Teberda soap, I think of my grandmother Kemiskhan. I think of the mountains she grew up in, the forests she walked through, the acacia blossoms she knew by name. I never stood in Teberda. But through her — and through this soap — I am always there.

Crafted in Dubai. Rooted in the Caucasus. Made with love and memory.

Our hot-process soapmaking in Dubai

This story is part of our small-batch soapmaking at Kemiskhan Atelier. We make our soaps using the traditional hot-process method, cooking oils and alkali as they become soap, then shaping and finishing each batch. We choose this hands-on craft for its individual character and the attention it gives each recipe.

The complete formula determines the lather and skin feel. Correct formulation matters for safety; heat or a natural ingredient alone cannot guarantee suitability for everyone. Check the full ingredients and follow the use directions. Read our hot-process soap and care guide or explore handmade soaps in Dubai with delivery across the UAE.
